Phil Botha

Phil has had more than 35 years of experience is counselling in different contexts of which the last 22 years as a registered psychologist. He was also involved in guest lecturing at universities and institutes for diploma and post graduate programmes.

He developed and presented courses and workshops on various topics such as:

  • Palliative care and support for terminally ill individuals and their families.
  • Relationship enhancement.
  • Sport psychology for coaches.
  • Performance psychology in sport.
  • Life skills in the workplace.
  • Suicide prevention.
  • Prevention of burnout.

Phil has endeavoured to keep up to date and educated in the latest developments in Neuroplasticity and therapeutic modalities. As a result of this he has completed numerous courses and attended conferences in Australia and internationally in order to keep his knowledge and skills current.

As a keen sportsman, who participated in representative sport when younger, he is interested in performance enhancement in all levels of sport. As part of his master’s in counselling psychology, he completed a thesis with a sport psychology focus.

Phil want to help people to reach their full potential and to live a meaningful life.
